Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address and message when you use our contact form; and, if you request quotes, your name, email, phone number, ZIP code and project details.
- Usage data: pages visited, time on site, browser type, device and approximate location, collected through cookies and analytics tools.
How we use information
- To reply to your messages.
- To pass your quote request to local contractors or home-service partners, only when you ask for quotes and agree on the form.
- To understand which guides are useful and improve the site.
- To show advertising that keeps the site free.
Quote requests
When you submit our free quote form and tick the consent box, we share the details you entered with up to three local contractors or home-service partners so they can contact you by phone, text or email about your project. Some partners may pay us a referral fee. You can ask us at any time to stop sharing or to delete your request. Partners handle your information under their own privacy policies.
Cookies and advertising
We use cookies for analytics and advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site and other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Affiliate links
Some links are affiliate links, and the partner site may set a cookie to track the referral. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information for any purpose other than the quote requests you ask for. We also share data with service providers that help us run the site (such as hosting, analytics and email), or when required by law.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Residents of California and other US states may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
